Hi guys. I sent my ruger factory stock out to one of the fine gents on here to have it dipped and coated. It was done by bigblock455. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the work is fantastic. The gun has a zeiss and a timney trigger. Extremely accurate gun that I will never get rid of. This gun means a lot to me as its the gun my wife got me years ago. It also has some of the best hunting memories with my family. Its a 338 win mag that is a true submoa shooter. Thanks again Jonathan! Pics
How well does the dip hold up over time to rough use?
Don't know. Time will tell, this is the first one I had done.
Excellent~ I like that pattern!

That will pretty much hold up to anything other than dropping it off a cliff or sliding it across rocks. The finish i use is called diamond finish and will actually hold up to stuff that human hands should never touch. This is a brush applied product that levels itself out and ready to buff down to an extremely dull finish after 24 hours. No longer using a spray on product as this does the job the best. No chipping from normal use!
Great looking rig! Its good to see the final deal all put together and ready for use.
Very nice, what pattern is that?
true timbers snowfall. Its a transparent pattern which means you can apply it basically over any color of base coat.
Looks nice. Time and cost?
With shipping time back to you, maybe one and a half weeks. I like to hold on to them at least 2 days to let the clear set up solid before repacking and shipping back.
$95 out the door which includes return shipping.
Was not aware of this stock finishing technique until this post. Nice Rifle.
Thanks guys for the posts. If anyone is looking to get it done, bigblock455 is a great guy. Deal with confidence!
I'm looking over the the synthetics wondering which one to dismantle for the Wooded Fall treatment:

thank you Ryan! I was looking at the scope and thought that might need a dip as well LOL. Just to really set it off.
bearcat, the wooded fall actually is one of my favorites, i did my shotgun completely in wooded fall.

great deal...Where can one see the available patterns?
I do plan on adding more later on next year but I always have to test the product first to ensure quality. Ive had some that just were a mess to work with or didnt work at all. Right now I list what I know works out real well.
