I shot one of those short-barreled Sako Mannlichers in .375 H&H at the range one day (comparing it to my "normal" Sako in a McMillan stock in the same chambering).
I thought that it was a nice light rifle, it shot well, had fantastic balance, and the recoil was not that bad (although I would not want to shoot if off the bench all day!).
A rifle that is as short as a Winchester 94, only slightly heavier and chambered in .375 H&H... I'd buy one in a heartbeat!
It is the perfect rifle for, well, anything within 300 yards!
