I just purchased my first Tikka; T3 Lite with synthetic stock, 270Win.
Since the owners manual didn't cover it, I'll ask. What are the torque specs for the action screws?
I'll start off by saying just turn the two screws down firm and call it good. That may in the 30 inch/lb range. Enjoy the rifle and post some pics.
I used 35 inch pounds as recommended By Nathan Foster at Terminal Ballistics Research
http://www.ballisticstudies.com/In one of his books he recommends no more no Less than 35 inch pounds.
He also recommends using a dab of Loctite on the threads to keep them at the torque setting.
Berretta told me 35-40 inch pounds.
I roll with 35 in-lb.
50 in-lb is wayyyy too much and degrade accuracy. Found that one out the hard way
I installed pillars and upgraded lug and still went around 35 with a weaver torque wrench. Calibration probably so so on wrench. For me and my stock I kept checking how mag would release as I tightened up front screw
