Not sure which would hurt less, pulling the trigger on that, or a bovine stomping. I've experienced the bovine stomping but will not experience a 375 RUM.
Seems like it's been running 2-3 deaths per year that I am aware of but there are no doubt more that are not publicized as much because they are folks who are not tourists or prominent in the hunting industry. When some of the locals get stomped the news doesn't travel far because it is a common occurrence.

I have a Williams Firesight on the front of my M94 and a Foolproof on the back. I've heard others talk about the f/o being fragile, but I've not experienced it (yet). However, Williams does off fiber optic tubes as part of their repair kits, so it must be somewhat common.
Nice work on that rifle. Who installed the sights?
welcome to the .375 RUM club! is that an SPS or XCR?
here is an "after' of my .375 SPS. I cut the barrel to 23" and dropped it into a B&C. I have to scoot the scope all the way forward like that to avoid contact with my noggin.
Williams front? Who made the rear? Front sight is just a Remington, ordered from Brownells. The rear sight is off a Remington I had in the past and found while cleaning out a storage shed we own.
