Anyone have a good reference source for Huskys? I just picked up a really nice one in .270. Hardwood stock with a rosewood forend. Jeweled bolt, checkered forend, but no checkering on the pistol grip. No model number that I can find. Stamped Vapenfabrik. Haven't figured out how to do the new pic thing yet.

Is it a 96 Mauser, a 98 Mauser, or one of the later actions?

It's a small ring mauser, with a rem. style safety. I've been at work, I'll have to check for other markings. Definitely no model #. Beautiful older gun.

Serial# 293380 followed by what looks like a royal crest and the word "nitro" Thanks for all the help guys!
