However it shoots and feeds well and I personally would not hesitate to use it on something bitier
That's an awesome weather warrior you have there, and a great big game caliber. I have a BRNO Mauser in 9.3x62 which was factory sporterized. Not crazy about the hump back shoulder stock, and the action is quite stiff. The replacement scope usable safety is crude looking, but functions well. The trigger is single set, and when set only requires the lightest touch to fire, but the unset trigger, though light enough, is a little bit gritty. Over all, not that happy with it mainly because of the hump back Eastern European style butt stock, the stiff action, gritty trigger, and crude looking safety. That said, the reason I ordered a Mauser in this caliber was that I envisioned it as a gun that might see service hunting grizzly bears, i.e., America's dangerous game animal. Does the prospect of hunting dangerous game with a push feed concern you at all, and if not, what are your reasons? Thanks.
