Bad to the Bone!!!

You are lucky; I emailed Beretta USA about the availability of the 9.3x62 in the USA, and it won't happen anytime soon. Regardless, you have yours and it looks great. How well does it shoot?

Nice rifle! Wish they had the camo stock available when I bought my Lite Stainless T3. What sort of game are you planning to use it on?

+1. I'd set that thing down to eat lunch and spend the rest of the day trying to find it again.

J SCOTT

I have only fired factory Privi Partisan 286 gn softs through it and it groups 5 shots in a tad over 1".

I will be doing some handloading for it as soon as I get the time and I am sure that will improve although I am more than happy with the above performance for hunting!

I thought I read somewhere that you could special order the T3 in the U.S. in 9.3x62 and 6.5X55?

BEARGREASE

Bought the rifle for Sambar hunting here in Aus - a stainless synthetic configuration is prefferable. However it shoots and feeds well and I personally would not hesitate to use it on something bitier although I do have bigger rifles for that.

Point taken about putting it down in the bush - maybe I will attach it to my belt with a cord!!

By the way, the recoil pad is a factory Limbsaver I got from Grafs and it makes the rifle very comfortable to shoot.

VERY nice rifle, and AWESOME chambering! I am seriously thinking about having one of the lefty Win. M70's I have held back rebarreled, or, get a lefty from Wff Hein so chambered.

Best of luck with it!

I'm shooting the same ammo in my CZ. Not incredibly accurate, but plenty enough for taking out front shoulders.

I guess they have to update the website, since that country has changed name again )

That's an awesome weather warrior you have there, and a great big game caliber. I have a BRNO Mauser in 9.3x62 which was factory sporterized. Not crazy about the hump back shoulder stock, and the action is quite stiff. The replacement scope usable safety is crude looking, but functions well. The trigger is single set, and when set only requires the lightest touch to fire, but the unset trigger, though light enough, is a little bit gritty. Over all, not that happy with it mainly because of the hump back Eastern European style butt stock, the stiff action, gritty trigger, and crude looking safety. That said, the reason I ordered a Mauser in this caliber was that I envisioned it as a gun that might see service hunting grizzly bears, i.e., America's dangerous game animal. Does the prospect of hunting dangerous game with a push feed concern you at all, and if not, what are your reasons? Thanks.

It has seen a recent serge of popularity in the States as well. I don't think it will ever be quite as popular here as elsewhere, however, due to the fact that we have a home grown near equivalent, i.e., the .35 Whelen, which has American written all over it, figuratively speaking of course.

I use a Tikka Battue for my black bear hunting and as my still hunting/drive rifle.
