wouldn't sell either of my Ruger 260s for a grand. ain't a darn thing a Creedmoor would do that my 260 Rem won't do.... and certainly the Creedmoor won't do it any better.
and yeah, I'm a handloader, so factory ammo availability is zero concern to me...
My only regret is not having bought more of these rifles back when people were giving them away. I've purchased four - 22/250 (used), 260 (new), 270 (used), and 280 (used). I have a total of about $1500 into all four of them. All are accurate enough for what I bought them to do. The 260 is the only one I've done anything to - I freefloated the barrel and put in a Timney in an attempt to get groups under an inch. In the end, all it needed was for Barnes to introduce their 120gr TTSX. The person I bought the 22/250 from had rather "graciously" put sling studs into it's stock - that prompted me to pick up a extra stock for it (another $40 added to the tab). Gave the 270 to my sister, so she'd stop borrowing my other rifles. My brother borrowed the 22/250 to use for coyotes. It's unlikely that any of them will ever be put up for sale, but if I should....I'll be asking a LOT more than some of the prices listed in the above comments....
