Friends:

Years ago I bought new a Ruger M 77 Mk II in 7mm Remington Magnum. This is one of those with the stainless metal and Zytel stock. The serial number is 783-53xxxxx. Its been a safe queen since I bought it, I don't remember ever firing it, except I may have sighted in a scope when I first got it. Don't remember. I do remember trading the rings in with Ruger for one lower height down from whatever was stock at the time, as the 40MM objective scope was too high with the stock rings. I have the box and original paperwork, and have removed the scope.

What is it worth? I saw an eye popping number on the Ruger owners forum, but consider the fire as very market wise and a firmer number. So I ask here.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Boat paddle gun? Id bet you could get damn close to $800 for it. They have a cult following. While the stocks were not everyones cup of tea visually they are very good stocks.

I actually have a boat paddle zytel 10-22 all weather lol

Yup. Boat paddle gun.
If it’s like new you couldn’t go wrong listing it for $900. Seems like the .280s bring good money

You are close... The .280 was produced in much less volume. They do go for $900+ for the small group that wants them.

The 7mm, even in great shape will maybe sell for $700 in the forums like 24hr. On GB, GI or GA he might be able to pull $850 because of the condition with the box and papers. 7mm is much easier to find in this rifle.
I bought one of these brand new for $450 i guess it was 20yrs or so ago. Maybe a little longer. I’d say NIB it would bring $750-800. Being lightly used (fired or not) i’d say $650-700 would be the right price. This forum is definitely not the place to try to sell this gun. You’d be lucky to get $600. Most of these guys on here are looking for smoking deals or will shoot you a low ball offer. At least thats been my experience. These guns with a nice trigger job can be excellent shooters. Good luck if you decide to sell.
