I've had a couple of BDLs and prefer the ADL.
But some aftermarket stocks are BDL only.
Just wondering if somebody made non hinged BDL bottom metal.
SteelBed,that which you don't wish to move.

Hint.............
Yeah, could mod factory.
But was thinking maybe a steel floorplate w integral trigger guard wink
Do it this way.

What chambering? What stock? What application?

Hint..............
Proly a 7 mag.
Was thinking Greyboe.
Just killin critters.

Had ,243 win, 7mm Ren Mag and .300 Winmag BDLs in the past.
BDL stocks fit me well, just hate that hinged metal.
I don't use it.

Liked my ADLs and 660 better.

Could say F it and get a Ruger #1. LOL
Never heard of 'em.

Hint...............
I know some folks w HAAS, might see if they want to buzz me a custom 1 pc.
See if the local tech development group has scanner.
A few guys I used to work with now over there.

No big deal, maybe fun.............but I figured somebody already had this done.

It aint pretty but perhaps a triggerguard assembly from a Rem 721 or 722 depending on long or short action. They are made of bent sheetmetal.

It'd not be fancy but simple. I have an extra I think.

McMillan will make you an ADL aftermarket stock. B&C used to offer one but may no longer. If you're going to have bottom metal that doesn't open, just use a BDL and either don't open it or have it welded closed.

I tend to prefer the ADL type too. But there are not many manufacturers still doing that. My Kimber 84M has a blind magazine as does my 1975 era 700. All of my other rifles have either hinged floor plates or use detachable magazines. It just ain't a big deal either way. I can get used to any of them and detachable magazines are starting to grow on me.
