In size order

5mm RFM
6mm Rem
7mm RM
8mm RM

*Thanks to JRS* wink cool

My pet hunting rifle is a 280, my first string competition silhouette rifle is a 260, but I might shoot the Montana 223 the most of all. It’s a three-way tie!!! grin
260 Remington

not sure it counts towards this thread but 35 Whelen is up there too.

Always wanted the ultra cool 222 Rem......
Ger, the whelen counts... grin
Triple duece is cool too..
280 for me. Love mine!!
My favorites:
223 Rem
7mm-08
7mm Rem Mag
416 Rem Mag
Plus, 6mm Rem
Gotta go with the .35whelen

7mm-08 is a close second

-Jake
Jake ain't no dummy..... Hint
.35 Whelen then .257 Roberts. Happy Trails
22-250
+1 on the 22-250
This thread just caused an epiphany.
The only Remington cartridges I own are 22-250 and 7mm mag.
Most are Winchester cartridges.

But not a single Winchester firearm of any kind.........interesting!
223 more than any of the others put together. But, the 22-250 is pretty darn cool.
.17 Rem... Dang, that thing is FUN!!!
280 followed by the 7 Rem Mag and 7-08.
.280 Rem for me, then .260 and 7mm-08.
1. 7mm/08
2. 6mm Rem
3. 35 Rem
.222 Rem

.257 Roberts

.25/06 Rem

.338 RUM

.375 RUM

.416 Rem
7 MM Remington Magnum

7MM Remington Short Action Ultra Mag
Of those I've actually owned, the .223. Always had a yearning for a 6mm, but never ran into one I wanted, so I've settled for 243s, and now am enjoying a Creed, no settling involved at all, just good design out of the box, no customizing or tweaking required to get there.

I also admire .280s and both .222s, just never owned one (yet).
222 Rem
6mm Rem in 700 BDL was my first and will always be my Favorite.
223
25-06
7-08

.257 Roberts.
257 Roberts
25-06, mostly for sentimental reasons. It was factory introduced the year I was born.
350 rem mag! What else?
25-06.

2nd place goes to the 7mm Rem Mag
7 Rem Mag
35 Remington
Another 280 vote here.
Tikka!
Forgot the .35 Whelen
Oh, a poll! Put me down for the 222 Remington, with a side order of 'that's it'.
25-06
For me:

17 Remington
222 Remington
6mm Remington
7mm BR Remington

Forgot to add the 35 Remington.
6mm Remington
I am a glutton for punishment so my favorites tend to be obsolete cartridges. High on the list are:

25 Rem
30 Rem
32 Rem
22 Jet

Of those still in production its:

7mm/08
35 Rem
223
22/250
I like the RUM cases, in particular the 338RUM
also a big fan of the 7mm RM
223 is sweet also.
After the Wincehster thread, I realized most stuff in my safe is a remington round.
Dont own and never have, but always kind of had a sweet spot for the 35 Rem

7mm saum
7mm08.
I like both the original short mags. 6.5 and the 350. Ed k
7mm08 and 222 hands down.
For me it's the 7mm Rem Mag because:

The Remington 700 bolt action, the 7mm Remington Magnum and I were all born the same year!

I have one of the early Rem 700 chambered in 7mm mag with the factory stainless barrels.
35 Remington
280
For me it is the 35 Remington, probably followed by the 7mm08.
22-250
.260
35 Whelen. I use it more than anything else.

35 Remington
.223 followed by 7RM...
In no particular order

22-250

.222

7mm-08

So what's ur Fav. 'Remington' chambering?

I have to say 7mmMag, even though it helped put the nails in the .264 mags coffin. ..
and 7mm/08 and .280 are right up there in consideration with the Big 7..

such things can cause small dilemmas...do you go 7-08 and 7mag..
or just split the diff and get two .280s...?,,?.. grin
.223 Rem by far........Hb
The Big 7, the 700 and me...…..all originating in 1962.

Still have my first centerfire though, 6mm Remington

KC

I shoot and load for the following Remington cartridges:
.223 Rem
.22-250 Rem
.280 Rem
7mm Rem Mag
.44 Rem Mag

They all get used, albeit for different goals in mind. My "favorite" depends on what I'm trying to accomplish at the time.

I forgot about my 44 Rem Mag all together, heck it gets carried and used more than any other Rem cartridge I own.
35 Remington followed by the 350 Remington Magnum. Rusty
I'll take the 257 Roberts ................. 223 and 22-250 after that.

Here's a bit of history from wiki.

History
Many cartridge designers in the 1920s were creating various .25 caliber cartridges. Because of its size, the 7×57mm Mauser case was a common choice, having near the ideal volume capacity for the "quarter-bore" (called this because the .25 caliber is one quarter of an inch) using powders available at that time. Ned Roberts is usually credited with being the designer for this cartridge idea. Eventually in 1934 Remington Arms chose to introduce their own commercial version of such a cartridge, and although it wasn't the exact dimensions of the wildcat made by Roberts, they called it the .257 Roberts.
Just two; .223 and 7mm-08. My “favorite” depends on the time of year, but mostly it’s the -08.
7mm/08
223, 22-250, 25-06, & 7 mag have been my mainstays for decades.

But I've shot bucket fulls of 44 Remington Magnums.
6.5Mag and .350mag make a great pigeon pair, .. but alas been dead in the water for some time.
7-08 easily
44 Remington Magnum.
.350 Mag..especially if it is in a 600 or 7KS....

Handgun... .41...what else does one need....

incidentally I have all of them.

My #1pick for ONE Rifle/cartridge for hunting overall is 7mm RM.

Aw you are missing a couple of the best varmint calibers IMHO. The near defunct 4.5MM Rem & the 5.56 Rem Fireball Better known as the 17 & .221 Fireball. If I had to choose only one of these two,Id have to go with the 17 Rem Fireball. She has special respect from me.
223
22-250
6mm
7-08
7 mag
300 saum
300 rum
375 rum
44 mag
Dang I really like shooting the two 300's and the 7-08.
The first center fire rifle I owned was a .35 Remington.

I shot my first deer with a 6 mm Remington.

I killed my three bears, biggest bull elk and biggest whitetail with an 8 mm Rem mag that I still own. I don't own the original of the other two but later replaced them after I stupidly sold them.

I bought my first .41 Rem mag handgun when I was 16 and still have it.

Those four are my favorites.
300saum
257 Roberts and the 25-06 anything else is blasphemy laugh
280 ...
22-250 is the top dog with 222 and 7-08 as runner ups.

I'd agree except I don't have enuff vermin to use what I have.
I have 22 rf, 22 rfM, and the 6mm Rem and 'seldom' get to use one for varmints.
