Does anyone have a ballpark weight on a Tikka T3x Lite or Superlite? I have searched the Tikka website and can't find a weight listed. I am just doing some research at the moment, so I'm just looking at an estimate of the gun itself. Thanks!

I just sold my Superlight in 30-06 and when I went to ship it.... the whole package (rifle, box and packing material) weighed only 6lb 6oz.

So, under 6lb I'd say for just the rifle.
C hair south of 6 for SL.

If memory serves me correctly, it’s listed. But, the website isn’t very user friendly and the weights were listed in metric....requiring a conversion! memtb

Yup, seem to remember when I weighed my Superlite 7MM-08 before I changed stocks it was right at 5 lbs 15 ozs. Webiste says 2.7 to 2.8 kilos.
I don’t recall what it weighed unscoped, but my T3x Lite SS in .300 Win weighs 7.12 lbs. with Talley LW mounts and Leupold VX-2 3-9x40.
My T3X Lite in 6.5 Creed with a 24” barrel, sports match rings and an SWFA 3-9 SS weighs 7lb 13oz. so, 3.6oz for rings and a little over 19oz for the scope and you get a little under 6.5lbs for bare rifle.

I believe the T3X is advertised at 6.3 pounds, where as the superlite is advertised as being 5.9 pounds. So, almost a half pound lighter...
Mine is pretty light.

Talleys, VX2 3-9 CDS.

I don’t have a reliable scale, sorry.

Isn’t the only difference between the T3X and the T3X Super Lite is the fluted barrel?
T3 and T3 Superlite, yes.

I can’t speak to the T3x.

P
T3 Lite, pops Talleys, M8 6x42 M1, 30-06....7lb 2oz. For a 30-06 I wouldn’t want it an ounce lighter either.

Probably, the T3X superlite is still a good shooter, even though it has a lighter barrel....:

Hiaring8 was the only one here that had balls enough to post his Tikka results in the moa all day long thread. And for that, I have much respect for the guy:

I shot all 20 rounds off the tailgate of my pickup with Front and Rear sand bags.

Here is the targets and results. Please note, after the first 10 rounds, I did make a 1/4 MOA elevation adjustment as I need my zero approx 1.9" high at 100 and I was sighted in closer to 2.1" high. Overall this rifle did exactly what it has done every time.

I was a little upset on the first group - left side of target - as I pulled the top flyer and knew right away.

My results netted groups at 1.114” and .904". This averages out and gives me an official entry of 1.009" for 20 shots fired.

He shot a damn respectable .964 moa in that event. I had to buy a fu cking Tikka myself because the Tikka crowd is all talk and didn't want to contribute to that thread. You know who you little biotches are too.... Put up or shut the fu ck up... wink
See you’ve been hitting the sauce and getting mouthy again.

There’s been a thread going in the hunting rifles forum where lots of people posted pics of themselves with dead animals.

Here’s a link Incase you get the balls to post a few pics of you with some of your “truck loads of critters”.

Respect from bsa1917hunter......
Something we should all strive for. Laffin.....

SLM....you'll have better luck winning the.next Olympic 100 meter dash than the paper killer posting actual hunting pics.

Nice!!!!!!!
How much weight do barrel flutes save? 2 oz??
The difference in weight is about half a beer, or a brief piss.

Near as I can tell, yes.

I prefer the Superlight cause mine is in a .223 that does a bit of shooting and the flutes DO help it cool faster...
My T3x SL 30-06. Granted it did have a fluted bolt when I weighted it.

I weigh all my rifles in the same manner. I pick them up and say to myself "self, that's what that weighs". And when I'm wondering how much heavier/lighter one is versus another, I just pick up the two rifles, one in each hand and say to myself, "self, that's the difference".
Tikka T3 Superlight 243win originally sold by Bass Pro (BP called theirs ' light ' rather than 'lite'). Black barrel and receiver. Weight incl magazine but no scope mounts or sling = 6 lb, 0.7 oz.. I think the T3X models are a little heavier.
This was disappointing, since the gun has a big label that says "5.8 #". So, it was 3.9 oz heavier than I expected. Almost a quarter pound.

It was supposed to be 4 oz lighter than my Walmart/Winchester, exactly where I wanted to be. Instead it's heavier. Pffft. I did some research on weight reductions and it's not promising.

Then I saw a used Kimber Montana in 243...
