What say the masses for ring/base combo for a Montana. Scope for now will be a Leupold VX3 2.5-8.

Lows were to low on mine..
Had go to mediums if I didn't want to have to turn my head sideways to see through the scope..

I ran DNZ 1" lows for several years with a 6x42 Leupold and it worked well. Downside of the DNZ's is ring spacing.
Switched to a Talley rail and Seekins lows when I changed to a SWFA 6x42 for dialing...it's a little higher than I like but workable.
