What options are there for a Sako 85 Hunter in .338 Federal? I have never owned a Sako or Tikka so when shopping for a Mcmillan what stock options work with the 85 in 338 Federal? I am a higher check piece guy (monte carlo). The Wby stocks and hunter models fit me great. The classics styles not so much but I do have a Brown & older Bansner's Hi-Tech that I like.

What about this stock: https://mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-rifle-stocks/hunting-stocks-remington-mcmillan-hunter/
Your first link, click on the Action Compatibility tab & it should answer your question.

My Sako 85 had to be sent to McMillan for fitting & bedding. It was not a quick process, so don’t get in a hurry. The finished product was great......after I dug all the modeling clay out that they left in the action.
I highly recommend the McMillan Sako Hunter with Edge Fill based on what you described that you like/want.

Exactly the way I was leaning!!!
Sako hunter...

Better and larger grip and better cheek rest then the Classic.

I was the first person to get a McMillan stock built for the Sako 85... I’ve had 3 made.... they are great.

Mostly I did the sako classic.
