Got my eyes on a nice Sauer 200. It has the highly polished blue, high gloss wood stock with Rosewood forearm and grip tip. The receiver has some light crackling but otherwise in very good condition. Caliber is 30-06, no sights or scope rings. Is 1280.00 a fair price? Also do these require special bases and rings or could I get some reasonably priced?

Thanks in advance

IIRC the Sauer 200 has the same hole spacing pattern as Winchester model 70.

Not having seen your rifle it's a crap shoot as to value. IMHO, I'd rather be in it for $1k, but I'm cheap.

I agree with GW.

Closer to 1K sounds better.
