Fieldcraft 6.5 hipster experience at 1k - 09/05/19
Hey guys,
Sorry to continue the Fieldcraft circlejerk. I have a opportunity to pick up one of the black/green threaded fieldcrafts at a killer price.
I already have a tikka sl in said caliber that shoots well, however if I could lose a pound off it it would be great and get more field time.
I will typically practice to 1k with my hunting rifles. I have a Kimber in 308 that to be honest is absolutely a 500 and in rifle. Not bad when you’re just hunting, but for practice it’s a bit of a bummer trying to push beyond that. Some people say it’s typical of an ultralight rifle, some say it’s just a Kimber thing.
What experience do you guys have with the fieldcraft at these distances? To be clear I do not intend, nor do I take shots at game at this distance, it’s purely for practice. 600 is about my limit, I just like to ring steel for practice further
Thank you in advance, and again apologies for continuing the fieldcraft circlejerk.
