What’s your take on this rifle. Have the opportunity to pick one up very reasonably priced. Not too crazy about camo but should be a good light rifle for hunting out west next fall. Have antelope, mule deer, and bear scheduled tentatively. Thought about a fieldcraft but have suppressors and not really wanting rifles I can’t suppress. Don’t need any other short actions as I have plenty of those up to 260

I do reload. I mostly own short action cartridges as I have never really needed long actions or magnums for my hunting( eastern deer and pigs)

Never owned a kimber rifle

Otherwise I’m taking the 260!

Got one in 280 I picked up for a song, has so far put two different factory offerings inside an inch. I bought it planning to reload for it but honestly I don’t see a reason - within 600(which is all I planned for it anyhow) it’ll kill with factory.

I’d say it’s a safe bet.

One caveat - mine came from the factory with the barrel touching the stock. I had to send it back. I had it back in 2 weeks, and my experience with Kimber was absolutely painless.
