So I’ve finally got around to shooting a new Mesa in 7rem mag that’s been sitting for a year. Mounted a Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x50 in Talley LW’s. Removed the squishy pad, fit a pachmyr .4 basket weave pad. Went through the recommended break-in with a couple boxes of cheapest stuff I could find accuracy ok. After break-in shot a couple groups with 150gr fusions and showing some real potential. Pic below of a 200 yard group. Clean barrel one fouling shot high then a 3 shot group.

What action(s) do they use?

I'd take that all day long with factory ammo and Commercial gun..200 yd group is nice!

I love my Mesa in 6.5 PRC, it’s probably my favorite of all the rifles I’ve bought and it’s a tack driver with both factory loads as well as the few handloads I’ve played with. I just got in a good bit of RL26 and N565 and am looking forward to seeing what it can do both with 139 Scenars as well as 156 EOL’s.

My Mesa in 300WM is just a superb rifle! I am well pleased with it. I wonder if the LightWeight Mesa in Creed/308/7mm08 shoot just as well?
A 6.5 creedmore Mesa shoots absolutely lights out with cheap factory ammo, it is Tikka like if not better. One of the best bargains out there and it is not close.

I have a ridgeline I picked up second hand. Nice gun, accurate, but has to go back as it’s cratering brass so bad. Splash city.
Are the bolts one piece?
(Serious question, not stirring the pot)

Yes . if you spend more money they come from Christensen blueprinted and it says so on the website.

I've got a Mesa in 6.5 PRC and it shoots lights out with 130 Nosler Accubonds at 3100 FPS or the 130 Scirocco at about 3080 FPS. Groups with both bullets have been .5 MOA or less. I mounted the Sig BDX 3-10X42 on it and I'm still trying to get used to the scope, but it shoots very well and I'm very pleased.

I AM going to need to invest in some ear plugs or something. I shot it 3 times this weekend at some feral mouflon/barbado sheep and my ears are still ringing from the blast. This is the first time the rifle has been hunting and I forgot there is a muzzle brake on the rifle. I only wear ear protection when at the range, but no more!

I’m not a fan of brakes myself. I asked Christensen if they could be ordered without a treaded muzzle and answer was no. The thread protector provided is knurled which I don’t like so I turned it down to same O.D as barrel and cerakoted as close as I could.

How do y'all like the grip on the Mesas?
Posted By: Walk1 Re: Christensen Mesa review - 11/20/19
It’s on the slim side which I prefer.
