Anyone have a Kimber Hunter in any caliber? I found one in 257 Roberts with the FDE stock in Uvalde this past weekend. Anyone have a review on the rifle? I'm pretty sure this one is a short action, but I'm concerned about the rifle's accuracy and other quality issues. Kimber seems to be hit and miss when it comes to rifle accuracy. My fiance really liked the rifle and I may just get it for her, but I don't wanna get stuck with a dud. Thanks!

Very happy with my three Montana’s.
I’d buy it.
I had one in a 6.5CM and it was a fantastic rifle. Someone wanted more than I did. I have a few Kimbers now. All newer and they've all been great.
I reviewed one in 6.5 Creedmoor back when they came out. The example I shot was plenty accurate-- it's basically a Montana in a stock that is less-expensive to produce.
I don’t have a Hunter, but a Classic Select in 257 Roberts. Yes it is a short action. What’s that saying “from my cold dead hands”. It’s my favorite “deer” rifle. It shoots well.

Also have a .308 Classic and .30-06 Classic Select. Thought the -06 had accuracy issues, but it seems the scope was bad. Haven’t put it through the paces since rescoping and finding a good enough load to hunt with. The .308 shoots well.

All 3 of mine were bought used.
