My dad gave me a beautiful Husqvarna rifle that was given to him by my grandfather. The only thing he knows about the rifle is that my grandfather bought it new and that it has never been shot. I've done a lot of research but between limited information available and many different models I'm having some trouble. It is chambered in 30-06 and has a 24" barrel. I will add some pictures. Someone suggested it may be an 8000 imperial model? I have no clue. Any information about this rifle is greatly appreciated.

Going by your photo's it is indeed an 8000 Imperial Grade Husqvarna. One of the smoothest actions ever produced many say. I had one for many years. I ended up selling mine but shouldn't have. Here's some information on it.

Fantastic looking rifle Kentucky502. And still with the hangtag! That is a true family heirloom rifle. Below is a link to a discussion that has an ad for the 8000 and 9000.

I greatly appreciate it! And the bolt is definitely smooth as butter!
