Wanting to replace my Model 7 stock. How are the H-S precision stocks? I’ve never bought and after market stock. I’m not trying to break the bank with a new one. Gun will be going to my son when he starts hunting.

I like them alot. Recently put 3 M7 predators in Bell and carlson and they are working well for me.
They are Great as I bought one for a Model 70 project and have a Remington VSII which is a HS Precision.
Great thing is you can order with a different length of pull .

I like the light weight model, the standard is clunky and heavy to me. I also like the Jim Tertan designed stock for the Mountain eagle rifle made by MSR.

The stocks get criticized for their weight but with that comes a rigidity not found in most other stocks. I would also take a look at Stockies stocks Alaskan model which is one of the best weight per cost options out there. The McMillan stock for the Model 7 from the custom shop is nice, might be hard to find as a take off but if you did it would be a good way to go.
