Don`t look like this is a popular combo, does it?

I have never used the specific bullet you have mentioned. But I would try Barnes first. In all of messing around with different cartridges and testing both GMX and Barnes. The Barnes bullets are easier to get to shoot and terminal performance is indistinguishable.

Can't comment on meat performance, haven't kilt anything with it yet. But, developing the load was easy in the 8mm-06 with 23 5/8 military barrel, pulled the 175 gr Sierra's, reseated the 180 GMX over the old charge of 52 gr of H4895. Light crimp with Lee Factory Crimp die. Velocity went from 2725 to 2740, 2 consecutive 5 shot groups shrunk from 1.3" to right at 1". Me happy.

The 175 Sierras have always shot very well for me in this rifle. Run them with 4064.
I`ve got some 180 Barnes TSX`s loaded to try, hopefully today. Also had very good luck with the Barnes 8mm 160 TTSX.
Thanks for the replies.

Just shot the Barnes 180 TSX`s. 56.5 RL15, OAL at 3.220, Quality Cartridge, Fed 210 prim. out of the 8mm06AI, that gave me a .250" 3 shot group at 100. I`m going to replay that load tomorrow, but right now, looks promising.

It's always nice to have another 8mm bullet option, but my 8mm mag shoots 200 gr Partitions into small clusters. That was the first bullet I tried and haven't found a reason to try any others. I might try the 160 gr TTSX at 3400-3500 fps just for s&g.
