Me too! I can now shoot my 17 Remington for the same price as 17 HMR. .03 for the primer, .11 for the powder, and .09 for the bullet = 23 cents a round. Cases I make from 223's.

Because the aren't XTP bullets regular HP.

Had to keep looking at the post to clarify it was .172 bullets and not the 17 HMR ammo that is loaded with the 20 grain XTP bullet.

If they had 500 rounds of that stuff for $45 I was getting ready to own a schittload!!

Well damn their hides anyway! If they make a 20 gr XTP for the HMR why dont they make it available to reloaders?

Bet it would never hold up to the velocities of a larger .17 centerfire.

XTP's no expansion after about 90 yards - just saying .
