Waited until the young of the year were out of the den. Then put the boots to them. Fairly short range stuff. Longest shot was 415 yards. Shortest shot was with a handgun at 15 feet. Since these were shot in and around a cherry orchard, we picked them up.

That brings back memories for me.
I shot my first Rock Chuck at age 9 out of my grandparents garden in eastern Oregon.
Later I started Hunting in the Okanogan and Chelan areas of eastern Washington. Even bribed my way onto the Colville Indian Reservation many times in the 1960's and 1970's.
Had some fabulous shooting back then.
But I do NOT remember shooting 30 (or so) Rock Chucks from one spot like your picture depicts!
