I was wondering if any one has one of these rifles? How does it shoot? I read somewhere they had a weak bolt stop is this true or is it maybe one or two rifles. I haven't found much on them on the internet and would like to hear someone's option on them.

A gunshop in my area had one in .223 about a year ago, or
maybe more. Very nice little rifle, it sold fast, I think
it was priced 800.

I have a 2000 in .06. Paid $450 for it in 2003. Always gives me Sub-MOA. Never any problems.
The 2000/3000/4000 were built by F.Heym in the 70's i believe.
It is not a collectable but i see so few for sale that it is rare enough..

Anything in .222 is going to be lots of fun, and nearly all of them shoot REALLY well. Buy it and see for yourself, won't likely lose money on a 222 of any flavor.

Well I don't have a Mauser in a .222 cal but do have a couple of triple deuces's in the CZ and Remington model 721. This is really my favorite varmint caliber and both those rifles shooting factory ammo mind you, will shoot under 1/2-inch MOA.

It is not super loud like a 22-250 and will take care of most critters out to 250 yards with 40 to 50 grain bullets. If I need to go out farther, I simply will grab the .243 or 6mm using a 65 grain bullet. If that is not enough, I reach for the 25-06 in a Savage model 12 or the Ruger 77 and send one of those Accubond bullets down range, that being out as far as 500 yards. The rifles are far more capable than I am shooting them.....sure wish I had a 20 year olds eyes once again.

I have one in 223. Great accurate little rifle.

These rifles were known for their accuracy. I had one, worked up a load for it and my rifle range buddy just had to have it.

I bought another mauser 210 in 22 Mag...holy cow what a shooter, huge solid one piece bolt with two lugs on the front of the bolt.

I am reading Ludwig Olson's Book of Mauser and the 2-3-4000s are, I gather, a post-64 kind of Mauser bolt action. Push feed, ejector, et cetera.
I handled one years ago at the range, it was shooting nice targets and looked good, although I'd rather have a full-rail FN sporter or real-98 Husky/Sako. But if it was a deal, I'd bite.

This thing has the lightest trigger of any of my rifles. I bet it is not even a pound. I am going to have to see if it is an adjustable. Or if I will just have to handled it very carefully while at the range. If you bump this thing it is going off. 8x57
