Went out this morning before my nephew's birthday party and made a couple of stands. The first stand that sent 4 coyotes our way last year was only good for brining in 30 head of Jersey cows that wanted to know what all the racket was about.

The second stand was a little better, dad was doing the calling looking across a rock quarry pit in grandpa's pasture, bro in law and I were 60 yards away looking down into some timber. After a few series of calls dad got a shot.

They were both carrying their put together AR's with RRA coyote uppers. I was old school today with an 1885 in .22 Hornet.

I'd heard my bro in law lip squeeking for quite a while before dad shot the coyote, turns out a bobcat had came in but he couldn't get a shot off before it got into the timber to disappear.

Nice going. Is it my imagination, or is the magazine in your BIL's carbine a little on the skinny side?
Had to look at the original to see what was going on, the thumb of his glove is black and is covering it up.
see those black guns do kill.....
Ill be taking mine out in the morning! Although, its all camo'd so I'm not sure it qualifies as a black rifle anymore! good going!
According to my mom, theres no reason for you to own that weapon!
After trying to keep mine fed, I'm starting to think your mom has something there. That 1885 presents fewer hassles keeping components on hand!
Liberals, politicians, and the media tell me those guns are only made to "kill people". Are you sure you're not in violation of some rule or law by using them to kill innocent animals?
Huh, I thought people said you couldn't hunt with them.
Best thing that ever happened to my calling setup was a "black" rifle. Makes for easy doubles! T.S.
You can't hunt with it, its a Weapon of War according to our expert President....

Agreed 100%! That, and Arizona finally lifting the magazine capacity limit now! Some people call using 30 round mags, I prefer 20 rounders. I dont call alot of doubles, but I REALLY like being able to put a finishing shot in an animal if need be. I dont do the whole 'let em squeal, theyll bring more coyotes in' deal. If theyre breathing/moving, I'm still shooting.
