Have a 17 Rem Classic.

Have only used 25 gr Berger Moly MEF's in it with a max load of 4320. It chronied at 4200.

It kills ground hogs dead as um heck. It has always been a sure killer - out to 300 yards. Beyond that you take your chances.

I had a shot at a chuck within 100 yards once - missed claen - or as I prefer to speculate - the bullet came apart mid air. Any other time it would have been ho hum another dead chuck.

Not sure what kind of groups it will shoot at 100 yards - when I developed the load - I was in a hurry. I sighted in dead on at 50 where it shot dime sized groups. Killed everything I shot at except the one mentioned.

Oh, btw - I think they are fine bullets. But, I am headed in the opposite direction - from where you came.

I have some 20 gr vmax's waiting to be tried. The lure of 4400-4500 fps is too great. Plus cleaning moly from a barrel is far short of fun.
