It appears the female Striped gophers, otherwise known as the the 13 lined ground squirrel, have birthed a second litter this year. Little ones are running all over the place right now.

This makes my .22's happy!

I have seen more this year than ever, not that is is a lot, but more.

Maybe the Gophers will make a run for the Rose Bowl this year !!

We have seen a lot less than normal. Recent weeks I've been seeing a few, but still less than normal. I can frequently sit in the yard for a half hour without seeing even one. This in far northwest Illinois.

I agree that it makes the 22 very happy.
