Hornady 35 VMax shot decent in my 77/22. About 1” at 100.

I have the same gun and have used the 35gr vmax and the Winchester 46gr on fox. Both work but you are still going to be doing some stitching. It's pretty much unavoidable with centerfires of any caliber on thin skinned fox. Of the 2 I really like the 35gr Vmax the best.

The only one that I know of that might be OK on fur is the Sellier & Bellot fmj. I have not shot it, so I can't comment. As bbassi said, the 35gr VMax is a good choice, but the most expensive.

The Winchester tends to open up really quickly on prairie dogs (opens them up, too!) as does their 45gr SP.
