I’ve been PD shooting a number of times in Wy and SODAK.
Looking for a two day shoot in sodak or eastern Wy, for two people.
Would go about May 20.
Willing to pay up to $400 per day, per person, depending on what’s provided.
Looking for guided, meaning someone takes us to the dog town, leaves, checks on us later and moves us to another dog town if shooting is slow.

Appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks

It's been 6 or 7 years ago, but the last SD prairie dog shoot I was on my son and I left early and began driving. A short ways outside of town we ran across a couple of guys working some fence by the road. Asked them about prairie dogs and the one guy laid his stuff down and told me to follow him.

We drove about 3 miles to a house and buildings and he pulled a truck out of a shed and drew us a map. Told us to leave the Impala in the yard and take the truck. The map would show us where to find some shooting. He cautioned us that it had been wetter than normal and the grass was hiding the PDs. Also that numbers were down a bit due to plague.

He was right about the grass and the numbers of PDs, but the boy and I got a morning of good shooting even if we didn't burn any barrels up.
We got back to the house where we left the car just about noon. A woman came out and told us where to wash up. I must have had a dumb look on my face. She explained that dinner was on and we should move right along. Said her husband wanted to know about the PDs we saw...

I guess a guy could pay, but I'm not sure he could pay enough...

Look into the Q Creek Ranch in central Wyoming... they have a lodge to stay in and tons of dogs to shoot... book asap as they fill up quickly...
