Wondering what scope you night predator hunters are running with red or green lights. Looking for stuff less than $500. Thanks.
I shot 21 coyotes at night last two winters. One guy runs a red light and looks for approaching coyote. When the coyote is spotted and approaching, I get it in my scope with red light only. Then I have a very bright white light on my rifle (mounted on top of scope) and I turn that white light on and take the shot.
I use a 4-12x leupold VX2 and a zeiss conquest 3.5-10 -50 mm.
This worked well for me.
When u turn on the white light, the coyote often stops and you need to kill him quickly, or he’s gone.
Thanks. What scope light do you use? I hear the wicked lights are popular.
It is a Wicked light.
Not sure of the model and I’m not at home Nd won’t be for a while.

I've used a number of them, but my latest is a Burris 1.5-6 x on a 30mm tube...lighted reticle German 3P #4...haven't wrung it out yet...

My other faves, that I have used a lot are The SIG Whiskey 3x9 with illuminated reticle and the Hawke Endurance 3x9 with lighted reticle...REALLY like the Hawke and its budget priced...all models I mentioned are under your $500 guideline.

Heres the Hawke....

Thanks. I've not used an illuminated reticle. I guess they work fine with a light, colored or white?
Doug at Cameraland has some incredible thermals, but they far exceed both of our budgets put together! Red light for sure and a Swaro 3-9x36.

Sorry for the late reply. The illuminated reticles work great with either a white or a red light ( red reticles...set pretty low...)

Wish I could find a green one to use with red light...I think that would be better.

Ive used a green kill light for hogs with red illuminated. reticle...works GREAT! Looks like Xmas!
