Is sitka gear really worth the money? I am looking for gear that is gortex and comes in tall. 6'5" and 165 lbs. I really don't want to spend the money unless its really worth it.

Thanks in advance

Sitka is not Goretex. Most of their gear is just "water resistant" not water proof, unless you buy into their rain gear, or extreme cold weather line.

While it sounds like you gave the slim athletic build they tailor their designs for, the tall sizes are generally hard to find and not offered in all of their layers.

You didn't say where you are hunting, which may be a factor for how well the two Optifade patterns work in the field. Open Country is pretty light colored, IMHO, and doesn't do well in forested area with high green content. Forest is good if the trees stay green, less so in hardwoods when the leaves fall.

The clothing is well made, I haven't worn out any of mine, and it's been holding up to seasonal use over five years now on some pieces.

Full price? Camofire priced, better, but still expensive.
