If you need a new field or casual watch, the Bertucci stainless or titanium style are worth looking at. There is a sale tab, the "bargain bin", on their web site, but it isn't maintained very well, so you need to call them if something there is of interest to you.

The bands are expensive, but the watches all have solid lugs, so you can buy dozens of different one-piece styles and colors on the 'net.

I checked out the ones that REI has for sale, and I am not overly impressed at all by the reviews.

I'm a watch junkie and have 12 of them; 8 titanium, 3 stainless, and 1 resin. All worn, some more than others, all good. Not Jaeger-Lecoultre, but rugged and dependable, at least for me.

I have given dozens of them as gifts, to Boy Scouts earning their Eagles, to Girl Scouts earning their Gold Award, to friends and family. No complaints that I know of.

EDIT: I have never paid more than $80 for the titanium or more than $60 for the stainless, via Amazon and eBay. I used to wear a couple of different Orvis watches, but I like the solid lugs on the Bertucci, so the Orvis watches went into the dresser drawer. I'm wearing an A-2S with a nylon orange/white/green Irish Heritage color band today.

If anybody cares, as of 11/19/15, Sierra Trading Post has 3 different Super Sport style A-2T watches on their site priced at $50 per unit. These are the light weight titanium watches and if you don't like the bands, there are dozens of 22mm (7/8") watch bands all over the 'net.
