Well, nice to see another board dedicated to shooters, hunters, and just plain good ol' people. <BR>I read (own) a book called Hunting for Handgunners, by Kelly and Jones. A chapter is dedicated to hunting small game, with Hal Swiggett doing the writing. Good stuff. He favors a handgun simular to the NEF Ultra Mag 22 mag (his in 22LR, and an earlier model) that got me interested in such hunting with a handgun. I mounted a scope rib on top of the barrel, but have yet to mount a scope. I'm still trying out different brands/styles of 22 mags to figure out which one shoots best in my revolver. Plenty of small game up here... ptarmigan, waterfowl, squirels, foxes, etc. to keep me shooting for a life time. ~~~Suluuq

I also hunt small game sometimes with a handgun.I use either a 6 inch S&W 617(.22LR)or a 6 inch S&W 686 with light .38 special loads.
