APP is now producing powder again after their plant explosion.
The powder with the original APP label is available for purchase from the following; outfits: bulletsbyscarett.com, lg-outdoors.com and wholesalehunter.com.

It's also being sold under the Shooters World label @ grafs.com as Shooters World Multi-Purpose Black

I shot this stuff in my Knight work pertty good Power was there and put them close togather I buy this stuff again
APP is good powder. I've shot cases of it. smile

You should get the 3F for all your shooting needs. The 2F is very coarse, and doesn't pour/measure very well.

Not as powerful as BH209 or Tripp7, but with very firm compression you can wring out some very good accuracy! Plus I've shot all day at the range and never swabbed!

I haven't used any of the pellets/sticks/pre-measured loads etc.

APP 3F powder works great if you do your part = VERY firm compression wink (This for me means, I compress with everything I got!)

Oh, and you should add some extra desiccant packs inside the powder can, to keep your powder dry. APP is hydroscopic, and can draw moisture from the air.
I'm still hoping they'll bring back Black Mag 3
Jedediah Starr and Jade-Inc.org also has APP in stock.

I noticed that APP has started making .50 round pellets instead of only the square powder sticks.
That must mean that Hodgdon's patent on round pellets has expired.
It was that patent infringement that led to the original Clean Shot Powder company going bankrupt, which led to the new name of American Pioneer Powder.
I wonder if they will make revolver pellets next?

I hate the black mz is gone. I read somewhere it was the same as APP. It shoots great in my mk-85. I think i have about 4lbs.
When Shockey Gold first came out...... It sure did clean up nice. Other than that, it sucked.

Dunno if they changed things after

Reg Goex FFg shot way better. Have used T7 granulated and its nothing great, but not horrible either.
I have the last of a bottle of Shockeys gold, bought 3 years ago just before the Gander Mountain shut down and moved away. Worked great for me, gave good power, excellent accuracy and cleaned up easy. From old habits I swabbed between shots to make the seating of the saboted bullet have the same feel. It made a slight crud ring that easily wiped away. You could though easily seat a bullet without swabbing at least a couple of times. I like it immensely better than Pyrodex. Hopefully the new stuff will be even better than Shockey's Gold. In fact I just ordered 4 pounds of the new "Multi Purpose Black 3F" and when it gets here I am going to do some load testing. I want to match the velocity they claim with three 50 grain equivalent pellets using the loose powder.
