Thought I would share this video tutorial on proper disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and lubrication of a flintlock. If you are interested in flintlocks, you need to know these things.

The guy is very thorough, speaks clearly and a good teacher. Only thing I might add, there is a lot of long experienced muzzle loader shooters who do not believe in using any type of petroleum based oil or grease. Not from tradition or 'my way or the highway' nonsense. Just from the simple fact, animal fats and oils are more resistant to flame, do as good or better for rust resistance and are great on wood and leather and your skin. Lanolin, sheep tallow, even johnny come lately "Frog lube". Lately synthetic oils have gained some acceptance, but I have no opinion on that.
