At least they did yesterday.
$48.50 for 8 ounces plus hazmat
Man, I missed it!
I'd get a big jug if I could find one.

I know, I know. But worth it for my son and I to be able to actually shoot at any elk we see this season, he's a non-resident so it pales compared to the price of a tag.
And just think of all the money you'll save on hazmat fees if you order more than one bottle.....

Amen. My thoughts exactly.
I added it up, using 100gr of BH209, 50 Cal Powerbelts platinums, and 209 primers that comes to over $3.50/pop. Not counting Hazmat fee.
A person can shoot at any elk for a lot cheaper using standard black powder. It isn't the 1-2 shots at an elk it is the 15-20 at the range
Moving to 100% BP instead of BP AND BP-substitues would make things a lot easier.

Figure in the cost of re-developing loads for a couple rifles.
I figure for 1/2 tank of fuel I’ll muscle thru it.
Well, I back-ordered 2 bottles a while ago from Cabela's and just got notification that it's been shipped to the local store so it looks like they have some.
Walmart in Arkansas has it on the shelf. 52 for 8 oz. I saw it in our local store and read on an Arkansas forum that it is available in several other stores.
Hodgdon had it on their site for 55 bucks..a can.. 110$ a pound, plus hazmat, plus shipping, plus tax.. plus plus. 🙄
I like the stuff but am ready to move on.
I used to enjoy shooting my modern muzzle loade, but 3+ bucks a shot takes some of the fun out of it.
My wife & I shoot traditional matches twice a month. I buy Swiss black 25# at a time. I’m sure I’m on the homeland security watch list 😂
So, I’m swearing off BH209. Maybe if enough do, they’ll get reasonable on the stuff.
Back to 777 or premium black for me. Tougher to clean up, but shoots just as well and easier to light up.
So where you finding black anytime you want it?..mb
Not sure I can find it anytime. Last 25# I got was from a guy in Maine who’s a mailman & does powder sales on the side.
That will last about 2 years. When I get down to 6-8 months worth I start looking for more.
Seems most are going to substitutes & the rest want to use the cheaper black, so I’ve found Swiss fairly easy.
They have it a local Bass Pro for $64.99 a can
