geez RedHat,, you've come along way's from sniper scopes ta muzzleloaders!?? sure thar's ml boards out thar, still havin trouble with the TC?
Posted By: Redhat Re: Muzzleloader only forums? - 11/17/03
I like 'em all!

If you want to talk scopes, click on over to optics and let's do it. I'm still thinking about that SS10X42 from SWFA for $199.

As to ML's...so far this seems to be one of the livliest forums. The T/C is still in storage from 5 years ago when I went to Japan. The problem I had mentioned about reliable ignition was from the first few range sessions I had while trying to learn how to shoot it and work up a good load. As far as my question, I was wondering where to go for ML info. I visit quite a few forums and it's funny how they all have their own character. For instance, on this one lots of guys like to type in "Bubba" for some reason.

Anyway...what are some of the best ML forums?

RedHat,.... Have you checked out Greybeard's website, or the Traditional Muzzleloader Message Hide????

Went to Greybeards last night...pretty good stuff, but I've never heard of the other one. Have to check it out.

Thanks

I like this one, but the number of posters is limited, which is OK by me because of the quality of most of the folks that hang around here.
I like huntamerica's in-line board is one of the best if for nothing else than volume. You can find a lot of real life information by searching the posts. Some real knowledgable guys with common sense in addition to the rest.
Realtree.com has a good muzzleloader forum, but the number of posts are way down since blueelk, the moderator, passed away. His fundamentals of muzzleloading series is great stuff.
Don't really look anywhere else. I'll have to try the ones listed in the other posts.

I wish there was one really good "traditional" muzzleloader site. There are a few out there, like Muzzleloader Mag, but that one in particular has a dreadful slow and arduous system that I just can't take. There is also MLML, but it is also antiquated and difficult to navigate. We used to have a good one over at shooters.

SSE,.... the Traditional Muzzleloader Message Hide is danged near't as good as Muzzleloader Magazine,.... and a "whole lot" faster!

rollingb - That one still loads slow for me for some reason. There are a few good ones there, though, just not enough. I still like the guys at muzz mag better. I don't like the format that much either. Reading and answering is not easy enough for me. Aint no perfect world, otherwise there wouldn't be no in-lines around.

Yr Mst Hm & Obt Ser, sse

Heres one but its pretty slow, haven't looked at it in awhile.

This one ain't bad! It used to be strictly traditional, but Pennsylvania has relaxed their bp hunting restrictions.

HuntingPA.com
This one is my home, but I do visit CVA's forum.

It's not strictly traditional, as theres boards for inline (gag ) shooters, but the members seem pretty knowledgable, and there's not alot of fighting and bitching, as some boards have.

Only for the early season in October, and that one is one week, doe only.

The post Xmas season runs from 26 Dec through the end of Jan, and it remains flintlock only. It used to be patched rnd ball only, but now any single projectile is legal.
