Thought I would try asking here first. I've got a couple of pretty nice Hawken replicas, and I thought it would be nice to have a quality patch/utilty knife that is reasonably correct to the period. Don't need a fighting knife, I am not a re-enactor nor plan to try winning any awards at a rendezvous, just have a casual interest in something that matches the rifle.

Green River Pacific Paring knifes with custom maple handles. These make very good patch knifes. The two bottom knifes are available. If you are interested send a PM.

I just bought a Frontier Valley patch knife from BHK and it is an exceptional knife for the price.

Track of the wolf has some trade knives that would fit well with your Hawken
The Jeff White kives on ebay are nice and inexpensive. Back in the day there was no such thing as a patch knife, they just used their knife or precut square patches. They didn't have short starters either.
Thanks to this website. The information and knowledge. And shared many experiences.
Any good butcher pattern carbon steel knife should match a Hawken just fine. Track of the Wolf offers the whole Green River line of blades. Mike
