Have any body had problem with an 777 crud ring ?
Do you know how to fix it ?
DO you know what cause it to form?

Tell me what happend to rifle.

Need Help
I switched from using 100 grains of loose 777 in FFFg to FFg. That helped alot. This was in a T/C Omega 50 cal. I also carry patches in the field and if a fast second shot is not required, I will wet a patch in my mouth and swab out the barrel before loading. I used to do this with my old muzzle loader anyway so no big deal for me.
Mr. Redbone T,
What crud ring? Where is it located?
Best Wishes
Red,

I think it is caused by the 209 primer. A lot of folks using Omegas and Encores have switched to a .25 acp conversion. This doesn't burn as hot so no crud ring. Precision Rifle makes them and you can see them at www.prbullet.com I have one but haven't really given it a go. I'm using BlackMag3 powder and the Precision rifle Dead center Sabot now. The BM3 burns so clean I don't have to clean my gun until I'm done shooting.
Purchase weaker primers. Regular CCIs (not magnum) or the new Remington Kleanbores.

Buy FFF 777. It shoots cleaner & provides excellent accuracy from 45-58 caliber.

Swab with Windex using both sides of a patch around a bore brush after every 2nd shot. Then follow with both sides of a dry patch.
