I was pleasantly surprised at this, almost shocked.

Yesterday morning I had a 140 yard shot at a wild hog that we estimated at 225 lbs. At the shot I heard a squeal, when the smoke cleared, he was kicking in the grass. Never took a step. Upon examination I saw that I took him high through the shoulders, and the Hornady SST went completely through him. A lower shot, into that shield would've produced different results, but I was proud of that little 250 grainer!

Have any pic's?

How was the hole coming out?

I had no problems on hogs with the 265gr .429 version from a .444Marlin either. Good bullet.
I didn't take any pics, I should have. The exit hole was just slightly bigger than the entrance.
Just to be clear, I'm not at all surprised that the shot put him down, I was just shocked to get a pass-thru at that distance. I am a big fan of these bullets, at least at muzzleloader velocities.
