I just picked up my second Savage ML II. got a fairly good deal??? It does not have the accutrigger, but the trigger is surprisingly crisp. Anybody know the difference or implications in the ML II version without the accutrigger? It is a stainless model with the black synthetic stock.

For some reason I thought all Savage ML II's had the accutrigger. I do know that the accutrigger cannot be fitted on a Sav ML that did not come with one because the receiver is machined differently.

I've had a few and currently have an early MLII like yours. There are small differences in the MLII's. Your first version probably has the small stainless safety button vs the larger thumb piece. The rear receiver bridge is contoured vs full round on the later accutrigger guns so they take different scope bases. Also the action screws spacing is slightly different, so if you're thinking of restocking (Boyds make several designs), check the spacing before ordering.
