Got this one Friday morning. He was after a doe.

Several years back, I bought a CVA Wolf at WalMart for about $100. I didn't expect much, but found that with 2 777 pellets and 295 grain Powerbelt bullets, it would shoot unbelievably small groups, and has since taken a lot of deer. Since it breaks down like a single barrel shotgun, it's also easy to clean. It also has a very good trigger.

My only complaint with this rifle is the latch that opens the receiver. It is large, and protrudes below the triggerguard, which makes it prone to being bumped on things and partially opening the action. Short of that, I am amazed with this gun for the price.

Ain't seen any chasing going on here yet, should be starting up about Thanksgiving.

No sir. I've no idea how to judge a deer's age, but his teeth did look to have some wear on them.

Excellent! I just bought a CVA Wolf from another member here, as the daughter has expressed interest in trying ML next year. I was also surprised at how decent the trigger is (better than my TC).

My son sold a really nice stainless Knight DISC rifle to buy a CVA Wolf. He's happy with it too.

Very nice, indeed.

My CVA is an Accura, mostly becuase I like the thumbhole stock and had extra pocket money at the time. But all the CVA inlines shoot very well. Amazing little rifles.
