Hello-
I need a left hand, .54 caliber traditional muzzleloader for deer hunting. I am aware of the out of production T/C Hawken and Renegade, but I am sure there must be others. I think Petersoli also has a lefty.
Are their others? What is the hot set up for a lefty in this bore size?
(I just bought a whole bunch of .54 round balls - now I need a rifle to shoot them up!)
Thanks
Mark
Hi Mark,
Lyman currently lists their Great Plains Rifle as being available in a left hand .54 cal configuration.

Investarms/Cabelas are darn nice. Investarms makes Lyman, Daly, Armsport, and a few others, I think. Lefties are harder to find, of course. New, I think your best bet is Lyman. You did not specify flint or cap. That narrows the field somewhat. Lefty flintlocks can be hard to find.
Or a few other options, for a bit more:

The TVM stuff is probably around 6 months. Or as mentioned, the Lyman rifles might work well.
Depends on budget and desired turn around time.
This one is for sale. I think it's a 50 however. (It may be a 54, but I am not sure) If interested PM me and I'll put you in touch with this man, who is selling it.
