No looks like drama queen Palin doing what she was sent here to do. Split the vote, I can’t believe 50k retards voted for her..

Did Murkowski win or lose? Can't tell from the news.
Posted By: Dixie_Dude Re: Election Result Thread - 11/09/22
Alaska's voting is stupid. There should be one from each party. More simple. At least in Alabama, and many other states, you have a runoff if no one gets 50% of the top two.

I noticed where two Republicans split over 50% of the vote and a Dem got about 48%. Then there was a Libertarian.

Not going to happen, I'm afraid. Begich has to edge out Palin for the win. Palin has earned the negative vote of a lot of us. She would lose in a straight heads-up with Peltola. Begich would win against her...

It all comes down to how Begich voters ranked. He had consistently come in 3rd.

If Begich voters ranked Palin 2nd, then Palin wins.

If they didn’t rank anyone second, they wasted their vote.

If they ranked Peltola 2nd, they voted for Peltola.

3rd place Begich voters get to decide this.

Kelly did well. Hopefully she outs the witch.

The democrat got 20k votes. If half ranked Lisa 2nd it’s not looking good for Kelly.

And they already did in the special election. A huge chunk pf Begich voters did not rank Palin. The polls have consistently shown high disapproval for Palin. She cannot win.

Begich on the other hand would win in a head to head with Peltola.

RCV is not the cause of losing this one. Palin beat Begich last time in the special and the primary for this race which happened on the same day. Enough people understanding was required to get Palin in 3rd...

I've been a Trump guy since he won the nomination in 2016 but the candidates he backed did not do well and it's once again rearing it's ugly head here in Ak. All we can hope for now is that the Begich voters (of which my wife and I are) ranked Palin 2nd like we did. As for the senate, I hope Kelly can hold onto her lead, it's time the Murkowskis of the world disappeared from Alaskan politics.

Yep, takes 15 days before they count the 2nd ranks because they still need to get all of the military ballots from overseas and any slow mail from rural AK. I think I saw that any absentee ballots that were dropped off after Nov. 3rd have not been counted yet either.

at the same time the red wave bs spurred the D's into action and every single perverted one of them voted

there's no way the D's outnumber the R's in Alaska, no effn way

Man after some conversations I had yesterday, this state is not as red as you think it is.. I know I wouldn't trust any of the Kenai boys, they just elected two very left leaning moderates to head to Juneau. Lets just call it what is two ph ucking rinos

It goes pn automatically every 10 years. It has absolutely nothing to do with RCV.

And thinking any particular item will go your way in a rewrite is foolish.

How about you write an initiative to change your least favorite part of the Constitution and get it passed? But RCV cannot ne changed for another year.

I don't need to write schit, I voted yes, how's that for a initiative? It would take a year or two for a CC to take place, I would just like to see our legislators get something done, as it is it's not happening.
Posted By: Sitka deer Re: Election Result Thread - 11/10/22
Legislators? But you all said it would not be the Legislature doing the writing?!? Hell of an effort, voting.

I specifically do not want the current Clown Corps doing anything to the Constitition.

Someone writing an initiative could get more done in twp years than a CC would likely do in six years.

The state legislature could if they wanted too next year pencil out rcv. But with current crop legislators headed to Juneau I doubt anything will happen.

Ok smartest guy on your city block. The state legislature wouldn’t not have been involved in cc we would of selected delegates. But you knew that, for supposed Republican you fell for the liberal ran campaign ads that were against the cc.

It is losing at more than 2:1... lots more than one special interest group is saying their piece.

I do not trust the current political climate to rewrite the whole thing right now. Also, after spending millions it will likely fail to be accepted.

One good piece at a time is the right plan.

I definitely see your hesitation especially with what’s getting ready to go to Juneau. Again Anchorage, Kenai sending a bunch rinos to caucus with democrats. Speaking of I need to send my state reps an email.

Posted By: ironbender Re: Election Result Thread - 11/16/22
The bug eyed bitch is very likely to get back in.

U.S. Senate
Kelly Tshibaka (R). 94,138. 44%

Lisa Murkowski (R). 91,205. 43%

Patricia Chesbro (D) 20,265. 10%

Buzz Kelley (R). 6,244. 3%

Total Write-Ins (O)
1,056
0%

Assuming Buzz Kelley’s voters second ranked Tshibaka, she gets 100382.

Assuming democrat Chesbro’s voters second ranked Murky (the other democrat), she ends up with 111470.

Just don't see enough help from overseas, absentee, remaining, votes to ditch the bitch.

Would be pleased to be wrong though.

I don’t know me and bud were talking about Chesbro voters. They knew she didn’t have a chance so why not do what the other 77k democrat did vote for murkowski. We think these 20k are the hardcore democrats the types that would never vote for republican. Even if it’s Murkowski she’s still to conservative for them. They see her for the reason abortion got axed by voting for SCJ Barret. So this is one is interesting on these 20k voters. Let’s say 50% of buzz jelly ranked Tshibalka 2 that’s 97138 murkowski needs 30% of Chesbro voters to Murkowski way.
