Anybody go outside and see the aurora show last night?
I tried a few times but it was snowing every time and I couldn't see anything. Friends are sending me amazing pics though.
I DID!
My son is living in Anchorage and sent photos.
Middlin but we are spoiled up here.
I didn’t take these but they are from last night taken in Waterville WA….
My daughter got some good ones. It was nice last night, too.
It's like hollerin excited like "It's snowing"
in Alaska
I've seen them before - not getting up in the middle of the night. I'll look at the pics.

You go to sleep that early?
Online posters from Michigan UP came up with some spectacular photos. Last night and night before were pretty cloudy down here in mid Michigan. I just went outside and there was a band of lighter sky E-W intghe northern sky but could not discern if it was Aurora or just low clouds reflecting lights on the ground....or moonlight off snow cover.
I went out but it was socked in couldn't see a bloody thing. Then woke up to 4 more inches of snow
She does not approve of me calling her an in-law...
I'm prepping for summer- going to sleep in daylight, getting up same. It takes training.
Sure did! Absolutely beautiful, looked like I could reach out and touch them. Not sure how to link images here so check it out on our Facebook.

My stepson and his fiancé went to Alaska last year mainly to see the northern lights. Unfortunately they didn’t get a chance to see them. They did see them in Iceland last fall and were really excited. I’ve seen them 45 years ago in deer camp near Gillette Wyoming. They are amazing.
Remember seeing the northern lights in 1978 or 79 on July 4th.
