Going through my day packs, I realized I need to upgrade. Pack is to be used for basic gear for a day hunt and a boned out deer. I've got ideas but I'm interested in hearing from the campfire. I'm sure this has been discussed before but every year something new comes out.

If carrying any kind of load out, I carry a carnivore frame from Barneys. If I am scouting, day hiking etc., then I carry a Camelbak BFM--hands down my favorite daypack.

MR NICE frame and Crew Cab. It will work for a 3-5 day trip, packing a whole deer, and compacts down nicely for a day pack.

Internal packs are my preference for SE Ak, especially given the use megabucks mentioned.

That said, I confess I've never handled a NICE frame. It would be an option for me on a multi-day hunt, or specific job packing a heavy load.

A daypack like the Deluxe has no downside for the use mentioned....
