I am researching an old time waterfowler (from the 1920's) who lived in Wrangell. If anyone is familiar with that area, can you possible post some info regarding common species of ducks and geese, and anything about the local rivers or lakes that are favored by waterfowlers. This should lead to an article or book, and I'll be sure to acknowledge any help given. Thanks in advance. JJ

Stikine.. I want to go do it one of these days. Pretty much all puddle ducks, and geese. Much better than what I have on the W coast of POW.
What he said. The Stikine is an impressive place to hunt. Get's a good stop over of Sandhill Cranes and some snow geese as well.

Calvin,

There's a few public use cabins along the mouth of the river. At high tide you can sit on the porch with a shotgun and shoot'em.
