My son just sent me a pic of his first ram. He's pretty stoked as am I. He helped a pard get one in the TMA hunt last year. I do all the loading for his rifle. .308 Win, 47.5 gr W-748, CCI-250, 150 NAB. He getting it sealed/measured tomorrow in Tok.
Very cool doing that! He got very wet doing that!
Awesome! Was his a TMA hunt as well?

He said it wasn't too bad. Northern lights the night before the opener. They woke up at 3:30 and were able to put the sneak of the rams they located the day before.

NE side of the Wrangell - St. Elias Park. Registration hunt.
Nice all the way around. Hope I live long enough, and am in good enough shape! 1 goat and 1 sheep and I'd be happy with just watching and helping from then on!
Very nice Ram, was that a Federal local resident reg hunt?
That's a good one!! Conglads
Damn that's badass!! Good on your boy, grats!
Outstanding ram. Good job.
Sweet! Nice one.....Congrats!
Is there a pic here that I'm not seeing?
Congrats on a trophy that always is well earned!

I screwed up when I said registration. Unit 12 (non-TMA) HT (harvest ticket). They had the Park Service federales land in the chopper and check them out - all was good.
His buddy (that he helped out in the TMA) had a chance, but his .270 couldn't do it this time. Musta caught the gay . . . (it was out there a ways)
Nice. Very!
I am envious....mostly because I can no longer hike in terrain like that. And I do wish I had made/found the time to do that when my joints were still healthy enough. (There might be a lesson in that for those who think they'll put it off until they can 'afford' it.
Getting to old for that, should have tried that a LONG time a go. Congrats on a very nice ram.
MM, congrats to the kid (and to you)!
Cool ram too. Post some more pics when you get them.
Very nice,
Physical hunt I would think, would love to try that.
congrats to you both
Thats a nice RAM, congrats to your son. How many rings?
What a great ram! Knuckle-bump to your son!
The smile tells all....congrats!!
Got the stats today: 9 years old, 36". I didn't get base circumference or individual horn lengths. He better grill up some steaks for his folks tonite.
Think I've asked before(just courious) how is sheep for table fare?
It's horrible. If you've got any leftover, I'll take it ... um, to give to my dog!πΊπ
A1+!
L, congrats to your son on a fine ram! If that a Roman nose and those bruiser horns could talk!
Nice ram!! His bases look to be close to 13", give or take. He's got quite the Roman nose going on for his age too.
Congrats to the lad!
Well done
I miss hunting high country
Awesome! Just got into Fairbanks from the brooks , struck out , sheep are down , so even better for him!
Awesome sheep, thanks for sharing!
Awesome is right! Congrats to n the young man, and great pic too.
