Didn't draw a cotton pickin thing. Neither my wife nor I. Looks like the five mile death march for caribou this year.

Nothing for me but my 10 yr old boy drew a DC485. It was his first time putting in for permits so he was excited this morning. Hunter safety class scheduled for next month so he will be ready to go.

I have done this hunt a bunch of times over the years and have plenty of boats, including Riley's mini-boat and will get aerial information... Be happy to show you what I know. The place is a gimme for cows.

We'll have to get together this fall, I'll bring the scotch. Suspect the FIL and I will be spending some time flying the area as well.

Haha! I put in 3 times for 005 and 3 for 006. I drew 007 a few years ago and hunted it but I waited until the late season which was a mistake. Never saw a goat that trip. I anticipate this one to be a little different ;-) I just hope I don't traumatize any tourists that might be hiking around up there when I blast a majestic town goat.

You can put in up to 6 times for the same tag for most hunts. Moose is the only one that is different I believe (3 bull, 3 cow or 6 cow)

Correct, apply up to 6 times and apply as many times as you like for each hunt number. Except moose are limited to 6 applications with no more than 3 bull applications.

Be looking for a bigger bull this year as I pulled the Nov/Dec cow tag out here in the valley. Might even shoot a bear during moose season :0

I shot a couple caribou over near Aniak several years ago...but things have changed. We'll likely get a charter plane to drop us off somewhere.

Thats correct...she showed up a bit early, but was due SHOT weekend so we opted not this year...likely gonna have grandma watch her next year and attend if work schedule allows for it.

My granddaughter arrived while I was in the air headed to SHOT last year. They are extremely cool, congratulations! Guessing that girl will hunt!
