Most the good ones were booked up early winter...

These guys have a solid reputation: http://www.brooksakadventures.com/index.html

I haven't fished with them personally, but If I were booking a trip out of Homer, they would be my first choice.

If you want bigger fish, and overnight trip to the Barrens would likely be your best bet.

Yes, I follow the guy on facebook. He is a year round fisherman, and is about as fishy as they come. My first choice.

thanks everybody...they keep coming up on the alaska fourm also. was in Valdez 2 years ago and booked an all day, what a bad trip that turned out to be. am going off recommendations this time, not just a booking agent.

will try to book tomorrow. thanks again.....bob

I am sure there are also plenty of guides there in Homer that fly under the radar that do just fine.

David Bayes in Homer seems pretty good. Talked to him several times.
